Mitosis Progression Guide: Rebirths, Tokens, and the Skill Tree

Mitosis's progression doesn't stop once the split-and-sell loop starts clicking — later systems build on that loop. The main layer above it is the rebirth system: rebirthing earns Tokens and opens the skill tree. Tokens unlock nodes on that tree, and the boosts you take there are permanent, persisting through every subsequent rebirth. Around that core sit parallel goals — discovering and fusing 28 mutations, challenges and bosses, collectible cards, special events, and leaderboards for showing off rare mutations.

The core loop

The core loop is simple: split cells so they multiply, sell them for Cash, and spend that Cash on upgrades that make your next splits stronger. Later systems build on this loop: mutation discovery, challenge progress and rebirth boosts all tie back into splitting, selling and upgrading. Rebirths, Tokens and the skill tree

These three systems connect in a straight chain:

1. Rebirth to earn Tokens and open the skill tree. Rebirth is the prerequisite for accessing the tree, so it comes before developing its nodes.
2. Spend Tokens to unlock nodes on the large skill tree.
3. Skill tree boosts are permanent — they stick with you through subsequent rebirths.

Mutations: a collection running alongside the loop

There are 28 mutations to discover, and discovery comes from continued splitting — the same action that earns your Cash. Once found, mutations can be fused into new mixes. Challenges, bosses, cards, events and leaderboards

Beyond the economy, the game includes challenges, bosses, collectible cards, special events — Gold Rushes, Blood Moons and Meteor Showers — and leaderboards where you can show off your rarest mutations.

Challenges have a visible entry point: the CHALLENGE button at the top of the screen. While it's locked, your progress toward unlocking it is displayed beneath it — keep running the split-and-sell loop, and once the button turns green, click it to enter. Choosing your next goal

Rebirth comes before skill-tree development; mutation collection and the other parallel goals give you additional directions to pursue alongside that progression. Two natural directions after the lab loop:

• Earn more Cash: improve your batches and make use of sale bonuses — the cell economy guide covers the money side.
• Collect mutations: keep splitting for discovery chances, and use the mutation index to identify their categories and effects.

One concrete boost to watch for: Level 7 of Level Rewards lists a Gold Rush reward granting double sale earnings for two minutes.
